Mission Statement:
We are youth researchers from the Mestizo Arts & Activism Collective (MAA) located in the Westside of Salt Lake City, Utah.

Our goal is to inform underrepresented students in Utah on how to access higher education after high school.

We hope to make a change in the demographics of college education, by informing all students of their rights and the many opportunities they have through sharing our collective knowledge and personal experiences.

We aim to assist, motivate and encourage students to reach their full educational potentials.

Edúcate Utah started in the spring of 2007 as a youth-led CBR project exploring the ways in which undocumented students in Utah find out information about college and overall higher education. The project today includes an informative website with scholarship resources and in-state tuition for undocumented students in Utah (Utah House Bill 144) information, workshops for students and family members including the “Edúcate Parent Nights.” Today, Edúcate Utah continues to provide scholarship information for undocumented students wanting to continue their educational careers in the state of Utah.
